Back in the early 80’s Three Wheeler sales were BOOMING. Every family, it seemed, owned a three wheeler – or two!
Sadly, with such high sales and success also comes a recipe for true disaster as many three wheelers made their ways into the homes and hands of ignorant owners and users. Users who rode without safety gear such as boots and helmets, users who rode while drunk or high on drugs, users who would ‘double ride’ with passengers on board, users who road on public roads and users who let small children ride our beloved three wheelers without proper supervision or training.

Yes, the 80’s started with much innocence along with plenty ignorance in regards to the three wheeled ATV. While the majority of users were having fun and enjoying their ATV’s to the fullest – other users were having accidents and getting seriously injured and even killed.

*update! About an hour ago here on March 17th – John reported the 3wheeler has been returned, that’s all we know right now*
Got word yesterday that Fooler member and collector, John Reich’s (88Turbocoupe) – 1985 Honda 250R was stolen from him in the New Jersey area.
John is offering a 5000 dollar reward for the safe return of his Three Wheeler or information leading to it’s safe return. If you have any information that can help John recover his stolen bike, please contact him at xxx-xxx-xxxx.
The bike carries a VIN Number of JH3TB060XF417473 & here are some pictures to help you ID it.

Today I was sent an email by community member DP250R81 and in it he included a couple pics of his own Fooler-Conversion … his platform, unlike the second gen conversion linked above, is based on a 1st Gen 250R – a 1982.

Hey again Fooler-fanatics and vintage ATV fans! I had some free time tonight to get a couple more quick snapshots of some of the riding gear and other items Brett Driscoll sent my way.
These are just quick iPhone snaps just to give you an idea and a look-see at the gear before I get my real digital camera out to get some really high resolution pictures of these items for safe keeping and for, hopefully, a new section here on the website.
